For those of you who are unfamiliar with Zedge it is well worth a look. Over the last year I have used it numerous times for themes, ringtones and SMS tones.

Basically it’s a site that offers file sharing for mobile content. None of the downloads cost anything with the exception of data charges if you choose to download items OTA (over the air). Keep in mind that because you are getting free content there will be plenty of advertising but hey that’s how they fund the site. Below is an example of a ringtone downloaded to my PC for transfer:

First step select ringtone, theme or wallpaper etc. and search for your keyword. In my example I am searching for 24 (I’m a tragic fan o fthe TV series).

As you can see by the picture below there are plenty of results returned

Once you’ve found the one you want press play to hear it

If you’re happy with it select Get ringtone at this point you need to decide if you want to download it directly to your phone or if you want to download it to your PC for transfer later. Here we will be demonstrating the Mobile Download (please be aware that your mobile operator will more than likely charge you for mobile downloads please check before proceeding).

Take note of the zCode in the top left

Now open the browser on your mobile phone and go to http://m.zedge.net once there enter the zCode from before and press ok

If you entered the code correctly you will see a link above the entry field that says Download the XXXX Ringtone Now.

Download the file and save it to the phone or memory card. Then follow the directions for your specific handset to change the tone as required.
